I would
like to welcome you to the MagicGraphix.com home page and take a few moments to
introduce myself. My name is Yvonne Vermillion and I have been an artist and graphic
artist for as long as I can remember. Even as a child I took an interest in calligraphy,
drawing, hand lettering, drafting and any type of arts & crafts. I enjoy painting,
drawing, computer art and most recently, pottery, which has literally added a
whole new dimension to my artistic interests. Over 25 years ago I took printing
and graphic courses in high school and realized I had found my career. After graduation
I went to work with a union printing company as an apprentice, learning typography,
graphic design and offset pre-press. I have worked for advertising agencies, printing
companies and newspapers; headed the marketing and graphics department of a dietary
supplement company; and now offer graphic and web design services through my company,
MagicGraphix.com.
Through
the years, I have had opportunities to keep abreast of the latest techniques in
my field, and finally, when the computer came along, to realize the creative potential
of working in a digital format. Then along came the Internet and that potential
became even greater. Adding web design to my many years of graphic design experience,
combines the knowledge of both media, including their different file formats and
color systems, and gives me a broader creative outlet. This web site presents
samples of both print and web graphic design, along with ideas on ways to add
a creative touch to your print and web design.
Last but
not least, I strive to bring to any design the same artistic talent that is an
