First generation photos or digital files are preferable for best results, but if the only image available is from packaging, we will work with them to present the best possible image. As these two samples show, scans of printed materials or product packaging can produce perfectly wonderful images if handled properly. The quality of the printing is important and the materials or package should be in good condition, but small areas can be restored. Try to obtain labels before they are applied and packaging before it is processed. Please remember, to avoid copyright violation you should obtain permission to use the image.

Color correction and balance were used to lighten and bring out the true color of the horse in this photo. The children in the background were removed to bring the focus of the photo to the horse and rider. Cleaning up or deleting background clutter is an excellent way to improve the quality of your images.
