But since most companies still use printed materials in their day to day business on business cards, stationary and advertising, it is a good idea to consider the options. When it comes to printing, screen printing, signs, etc., the more colors needed to reproduce your logo, the more the cost. If you plan to use your logo for a wide range of applications, a design using one or two colors is the most practical. Keep in mind a well designed logo should be able to be reproduce in one color and still maintain it's identity.

The logo below was converted to black and white to be used in newspaper ads and flyers, where color would be costly.
